Frequently Asked Questions

How big is the tank and the pump?

The standard tank size on our Fire Skid is 275 Gallons. The pump/engine combo is a 7hp Gasoline pull start engine with a 142gpm pump.

How do I transport it?

While the loaded skid unit can be easily transported by a full size truck, owners of smaller trucks or other vehicles will find it much easier to move on a trailer. Stay tuned, we have a specialized trailer in the works!

Many owners choose to transport the unit empty, then fill it and leave it where it will be stationed for the summer. This way its ready to go.

What makes your unit different from others on the market?

Our unit was designed from scratch for homeowners. Other units on the market are ridiculously expensive, and complicated Thats be cause they are geared towards professional Firefighting crews.

Normally that would be a good thing, but in this case it not only adds complicated features not necessary for home use, but it adds lots of cost due to the certifications and testing required by state agencies.

Whats the lead time to order?

We do our best to keep units in stock, but in the event that we run short, typical lead time is 2-3 weeks to ship.

Can I order a unit with custom modifications?

Yes of course. We build each of these units in house, drop us a line and let us know what you’re after and we can design what you need

Is there a warranty?

Absolutely! The entire unit is covered by a 1 year warranty against defects in materials and workmanship

Are there options such as electric start or High pressure pump available?

Sure you bet. Our criteria was to try to keep the price as low as possible, but we can of course upgrade with various pump and engine combos. Please inquire

Can I pick up my Fire skid and avoid shipping cost?

For Sure! Our shop is located in Flagstaff, Arizona. We can make arrangements for pickup when your order is complete and ready to leave.
